Happy New Year to Everyone and just a statement ...

EN: After wishing all you guys a happy new year, it seems that this blog will not end this one as expected. I guess it was just a matter of time until some Brazilian with his Portuguese hate (which is very common there and for very stupid reasons!) "invaded" this blog.

I just want to say that have been some incidents in our shoutbox with a person who is constantly leaving stuff in every Kate's pages which usually written in a mix of dutch, french and english ! LOL ( Google translator).

Anyways, this is a fan site and it's about Kate Ryan , and for everyone who loves her and enjoys her music. Everyone can share their opinion , just as long as is not disrespectful for Kate, for me, for my work on this blog, for my nationality or everybody's else, even for my other colleagues and friends who hold websites on Kate Ryan across Europe and the world !

PT: Depois de vos desejar um bom ano a todos, parece que este blog não terminará este como esperado . Eu acho que era apenas uma questão de tempo até que algum brasileiro ( com o típico ódio a Portugal, que é muito comum lá por razões muito estupidas!) "invadisse" este blog.~

Isto, devido ao facto de uma pessoa ter escrito mensagens ofensivas na shoutbox deste blog, que passa a vida a encher todas as páginas da Kate com mensagens que são uma mistura de holândes com inglês e francês (Tradutor do Google da nisto!).

De qualquer forma a mensagem que eu quero passar, é que isto funciona como fan site da Kate Ryan e é destinado a todos que a adoram e gostam da sua música. EN: Following the release of her album "French Connection", Kate has been doing promotion in Spain, Germany, Poland.
She's been doing several performances for Jugalan- A christmas event , where she has performed with Swedish Idol winner Danny.
Meanwhile she prepares for a big Canadian tour in March where she's going to be in several cities of Quebec.

PT: Seguindo o lançamento do seu album "French Connection", Kate tem feito promoção em Espanha, Alemanha e Polónia.
Ela também actuou várias vezes no Jugalan- um evento de natal na Suécia, onde actuou com o cantor Danny, vencedor do programa "ídolos" da Suécia, o grupo E.N.D , Alacazar e Yolanda , candidata da Islândia da Eurovisão 2009.

French Connection : Release Party !

EN: Yesterday Kate presented and promoted her new album "French Connection" in Antwerp. She was also surprised with a Multiplatinum digital award for selling more 300.000 songs in Spain with "Voyage Voyage " and "Ella Elle L'a".
Kate has also announced that "French Connection" is the end of an era, and that she will change her music style and by making and writing her own songs , which she has already some prepared for the next album which will have no covers , 100% original !
Meanwhile "Babacar" is playlisted in Viva TV in Germany and is also charting in Spain at #45.
The CD is tomorrow released in Belgium !

Kate Ryan's new album 'French Connection' will be released in Belgium on October 23th. The album will be first available in Canada, from October 13th on. Poland, Spain, Scandinavia etc will follow later...

EN: This was taken from Kate's official site. Well they say it's the 23rd of October in Belgium. The stores say it's on the 25th of September. They also say in some spanish stores that it is avaiable from the 15th and there it's written that will be released after the 13th of October.
Well first the German release story, now the same thing with the album , are they going to push it until December 2010? I can't tell or show you how much I am upset and angry with this. I'll be writing her management soon. Promotion is not being made , concerts are being cancelled in Belgium, singles and albums getting delayed ! I'm sorry , but what the F*** is this ??
This is joking with the fans, the public and with the artist her self. If this continues they're gonna get her broke or something like that !

New album, coming out on the 14th of September !

EN : The new Kate Ryan album , which name hasn't been out yet is going to be released next month . The date set for the release is 14th.
Also the German release date has been changed again to the 25th of September . I don't understand what they're doing . Maybe they want to pull more album sales , before the single is released !
The two versions of the video are being played in Germany right now.
In the next few days we will be able to see a new performance of "Babacar " on the show Hit The Road.

EN: The release of "Babacar" was delayed until the 4th of September in Germany. Meanwhile the two most important music channels Viva TV and MTV Germany are already playing the video of the song.
The song is also getting airplay in the radios and you can pre-order the single on amazon, ebay etc.
In Spain, Kate's label Vale Music has also released the video a few days ago.
Now Babacar will start to storm the charts !

Release News for Babacar !

Babacar has a new peak in Belgium : #17 ! Unfortunatelly it dropped from that position to 41 this week and it's off the Swedish Charts ! However we must notice that the song was not released in Sweden yet !
The actual German release for example will be on the 21st of August ! The rest of Europe will follow on the same month as Vale Music ( Kate's label in Spain) has already uploaded the official video on youtube.

The 22nd of July was the day of our Kate's birthday ! She is 29 now ! :P You can leave her a message on www.kateryan.es until the 26th of July !

Chart update and new album news !

Babacar has a new position on the Ultratop 50 in Belgium : #18 , on it's second week.
Meanwhile it re-enters the Swedish charts at #55. It will rise again with media support.
Good news are that will be a new Kate Ryan album in 2009 and another one in 2010. The first will be an album tottaly in french to please the international fans who supported her french covers. This will include Babacar of course, new original songs, another covers and french versions of her songs.
The actual new album will be released in 2010 as the usual mix of English and French .

Babacar Debuts at #27 in Sweden !

Like in 2008 with Ella Elle L'a , Sweden was the first to have Kate's new single. "Babacar" debuted this week at #27 in the country top 60.
In Belgium , where it has already been released physically , reached #24 on I.tunes.
There aren't still news for other countries besides Sweden and Belgium, but the release date was 15th of June.
Regarding Kate's look, she's made a new piercing under her lip. Some people were shocked not to see the tongue piercing on the video, but for a long time Kate has already been trying to took it off, however it's not easy to get used to the hole on your tongue for some days, believe me I know :)

Kate and many football players as Luís Figo,David Villa, Christian Chivu are appealing for the Europeans to go voting on the 7th of June for the elections of the European parlament!
