Kate Ryan & Leona Lewis in New Year's Eve in Poland

Kate Ryan and the British singer Leona Lewis will be performing together on the 31st of Decemeber in Krakow Poland for the end of the year's show.
Kate has performed last year in Russia and the year before in Poland too.
Following the next year we can expect much from Kate as she says in her official site, perhaps a big concert like the Lotto's Arena in 2007.

No Award for Kate Ryan in Spain !

Last December 12th Kate Ryan performed on the Los 40 Awards in Madrid, capital of our neighbour Spain . She lost the category best International song for "Apologize" by One Republic.
However being a Flop is far from being true the Singer has reached the 63th postion on the Canadian Hot 100 with Ella Elle L'a , received a World Music Award and her song "Voyage Voyage" has reached now Gold Status in Spain.

Regarding Clubland tour , she has performed but no official release or even avaible in the Itunes ! Someone kill AATW !

To conclude , the last appearence of Kate in the Los 40 Awards has created a wave of critics made by her fans , who didn't like her new hairstyle and think that she looks better with longer.
There is a petition for Kate to let her hair grow again , however it will only be given if she agrees with it !

09.11.08 . Kate Ryan wins prestigious World Music Award

Fomer Belgian Eurovision representative Kate Ryan has received an award for Best Selling Benelux Artist at the World Music Awards 2008 in Monaco on Sunday evening. Kate Ryan follows in the footsteps of Helmut Lotti and Lara Fabian, who won the award in the past. Several world stars performed in the award show.
The annual World Music Awards are based on the official sales figures as registered by the international music federation IFPI. Kate mainly thanks her award to the success of the single Ella Elle L'a that became a hit in Europe, South America and Canada, and the album Free that was released in more than 40 countries.

In Monaco, Kate Ryan shared the stage with Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Akon, Kid Rock, Estelle, The Script, Solange, Laurent Wolf, Anastacia, Madcon and Philip Kirkorov. The show hosted by Jesse Metcalfe will be broadcast in more than hundred countries in the upcoming weeks.

On 12th December Kate Ryan is in the running for another award. Kate is nominated with Ella Elle L'a in the category Best Non-Spanish International Song at the Premios 40 Principales award show in Spain. Her competitors are Duffy with Mercy, Alicia Keys with No One, One Republic with Apologize and Amy Winehouse with Rehab. Until 28th November you can help Kate winning the award. EN: Kate's new single "I Surrender" failed to achieve Gold Status in Belgium , from the 15.000 copies given away by belgian Newspaper "Het Niewsblad", only 14.600 were downloaded . However there is no reason to be sad since "Ella Elle L'a" just debut #97 on the Canadian Hot 100,and has sold more than 500.000 copies worlwide so far.

Kate Ryan is one of the dance artists who'll be touring the United Kingdom with the second Clubland Live Tour from 27th November until 5th December. Ten thousand of British dance music lovers will be introduced to Kate Ryan, whose English version of Ella Elle L'a will be released on the 14th Clubland album on 10th November.

Together with Scooter, Ultrabeat, Darren Styles, September, Kelly Llorenna, N-force and Eyeopener, Kate Ryan will be performing in several big arenas in the United Kingdom. The Clubland Live Tour kicks off on Thursday 27th November in the Odyssey Arena in Belfast and ends eight days later, on Friday 5th December, in the Hull Arena in Hull.

Kate Ryan attacks the UK / Kate Ryan ataca o Reino Unido

The success story of Kate Ryan and Ella Elle L'a has not yet come to an end. Almost half a million copies of the single - downloads included - have been sold so far, but that number may still increase when Kate Ryan launches the English version of the song in the United Kingdom at the end of this year.
In order to promote Ella Elle L'a in the UK, Kate Ryan's record company Universal closed a deal with the British label All Around The World. In the past, AATW scored top 10 hits in the British charts with other Belgian dance artists such as Milk Inc. and Jessy. To save the magic effect of the song, Kate Ryan only recorded the verses in English. The chorus of Ella Elle L'a remains in French.

Universal Music Belgium meanwhile confirmed that the former Belgian Eurovision Song Contest representative will tour the UK beginning December, but first Kate will promote the singles Ella Elle L'a and Voyage Voyage and the album Free in Canada. Kate Ryan's first ever Canadian tour is scheduled for November. For next year, North and South America are already on Kate's agenda.

In Europe, I Surrender will soon be released as follow-up single for the monster hit Ella Elle L'a. This single reached the top 10 in Belgium, Sweden, Poland, Norway, Finland, the Netherlands and Russia and occupied the first position in the Spanish charts for no less than ten weeks, good for eight platinum awards!

Recently Kate Ryan talked about her breaktrough in the USA : "Perez Hilton put some stuff about me on his blog ,then the press seemed to woke up . However I did nothing to prove it."
She has also confirmed that she has a new contract in Canada and In South America too " It's good to have a chance in different places and things start to really work on the good way now , but still nothing like in Europe".
She was also asked about her tatoos and piercing: " I have in total 6 tatoos and 1 tongue pierce." and life before the new management: " Before working with the new management they were able to do everything they wanted with me . They decided the hairstyle , the clothes , since I went to eurovision I was able to be myself."
Talking about the singer's private life now ,she seems to have a new love in her life: " Yes I have a new love, but I'm not determined to talk about it much , because he's not famous and when you have this job , almost everything can make your relationship vulnerable".
Also the singer says to be "Stronger" like her second album released in 2004. " I do miss my mom a lot , when she died I couldn't return to our old family cafe which she used to own in Tessenderlo . It took me a while to return to the "Oude Post, but now I'm over it ."
And finnaly she commented about her eating disorders in 2005 " I have it undercontrol now. I know how far I can go and I have to be carefull for the rest of my life. Back then I tended to fall back as I didn't feel very well".

The 3rd single from the album "Free" is still charting and also the 4th is going to be released on the 29th of September all around Europe. But we have already the news of which will be the 5th single: "Your Eyes". This song was written by 4 people including Kate and the 2NProductions team . This week Free has debuted in the Netherlands top 100 at the 66th position. Remember that the only Kate Ryan's album to chart there was "Different" and it only made to #88.
The new single "I Surrender" is already charting on the Ultratip belgian charts on both Flanders and Wallonia, being at 6# in the 1st one and 29# on the second one.
Her 3rd single "Ella Elle L'a" continues to be a massive hit in Spain , selling now more than 120.000 copies achieving the certification of 6x platinium. It has also been number 1 in Spain for 6 consecutive weeks, making it to be considered now the 2008's summer song.
In Portugal it is still charting on the Sagres Fm Top 10 . It has moved up to number #3 . It is important that people vote for Kate , this can help her to enter the national charts.

Ella Elle L'a is now one of the favorite 10 songs of a local radio (Sagres FM) in Algarve, Portugal.
It is now number #6 i the top ten. We hope to see Kate to enter the bigger radio charts and also the Portuguese National Top 50.

Free 160.000 copies sold / Free 160,000 cópias vendidas

It's true the new Kate Ryan's album "Free" has sold now more than 160.000 copies all over Europe. It is also gold now in Poland and has sold more than 10,000 copies there. It is said that it is likely to reach the 200.000 or 300.000 copies.
For Ella Elle L'a is now 5x Platinium (100.000) in Spain and also number one for 5 weeks . It is also gold in Sweden (10.000 copies).
The new single I Surrender is expected to enter the charts within 1 or 2 weeks .

É verdade , o novo album de Kate Ryan "Free" já vendeu agora mais de 160.000 cópias na Europa. Atingiu também o certificado de disco de ouro na Polónia vendendo mais de 10.000 cópias lá. é provavél atingir as 200.000 ou 300.000 segundo uma fonte próxima à cantora.
Quanto a "Ella Elle L'a" atingiu o estado de 5ª platina (100.000 cópias) em Espanha e também se encontra numero um lá h'a 5 semanas. É também disco de ouro na Suécia (10.000 cópias).
O novo single "I Surrender" é esperado entrar nos tops daqui a 1 ou 2 semanas.

Billboard Review "Free"/ Critica ao album "Free"

Kate Ryan's third album Alive was her first to feature no cover versions, and was an admirable step forward in her development as a pop singer. However it was a commercial flop, so it is with a sense of crushing inevitability that her fourth studio effort features three covers of classic French pop hits; "Ella Elle L'a" by France Gall, "Voyage Voyage" by Desireless, and "Toute Premièr Fois" by Jeanne Mas. As with her earlier Mylène Farmer covers they're rather well-done updates, "Voyage Voyage" in particular is a fantastic re-imagining of an underrated classic, but their presence still represents a disappointing failure of nerve on the part of Ryan's team. Not that it matters. Preceding the album's release, "Voyage Voyage" and "Ella Elle L'a" became massive hits, her most successful releases since the aforementioned Mylène Farmer covers in most countries. While Ryan's sound has regressed, thankfully her quality control has not. "Free" is another consistently strong effort. It only once hits the heights of the best tracks from Alive, on the minimal, brooding "L.I.L.Y. (Like I Love You)," but it is a strong collection of Europop with much less filler than her first two records. "I Surrender" and "Tonight We Ride" are high-gloss disco tracks which should extend her run of hits beyond the cover versions, and Eurogames 2007 theme tune "We All Belong" is a punchy electro number. Best of all though, surprisingly, is closing ballad "Free." Ryan's songwriting abilities have been increasingly sidelined by her quest for hits, but the entirely self-composed "Free" is a revelation. A majestic, string-laden ballad with soul-searching lyrics and hands down the best vocal performance of her career, it's both a great closer and a frustrating glimpse at what she could be capable of if she played things a little less safe. ~ John Paul Lucas, All Music Guide

Kate Ryan Drunk / Kate Ryan bebâda ?

A estrela belga Kate Ryan, que esteve recentemente na Polónia num award show onde arrecadou um prémio e actuou, não teve melhor maneira de acabar a noite, do que a ser arrastada pelos seus amigos musicos.
Kate encontra-se neste momento em 1º lugar em Espanha por 3 semanas consecutivas , já tem o seu hit single Ella Elle L'a disco de ouro em vários países e o seu album Free já vendeu 150,000 cópias , faltando apenas 100,000 para ultrupassar "Different" o album de estreia da cantora.

P.S: Toda a gente tem direito a se divertir , é o que penso , independetemente de ser uma diva e cantora, o que acham, comentem !

Kate is now number 1 in Spain for 3 weeks, and her hit "Ella Elle L'a" has the golden status in many conutries. Her new album Free has sold now more than 150,000 copies , if it sells another 100,000 it will be a greater success than her debut album "Different".

I surrender , novo single 14/08/08

I surrender será o novo single e 4º do album Free. Conta com uma nova versão e com um videoclipe . Esta nova versão é um remix feito por quem está por trás do projecto de tektronic TekTek.
Entretanto Ella Elle L'a prepara-se para atingir territorios como França e Portugal , e há possiveis rumores de uma versão inglesa a ser lançada no Reino Unido , Estados Unidos e Canada.
Nesta semana a canção encontra-se nº 15 na Europa, 1 em Espanha, 2 na Holanda, desceu para 16ª posição na Suécia e na Bélgica , e encontra-se na 29 na Dinamarca.

I Surrender will be the new and 4th single from the album Free. It has been made a new version and a new video for the song. This new version is a remix made by the same guy who is behind the tektronic project TekTek.
Meanwhile Ella Elle L'a is ready to hit the french and portuguese territories and there are also rumors that will be made an english version to be released in the UK, USA and Canada.
This week the song has peaked #15 in Europe, still number 1 in Spain, 2# in the Netherlands, went down in Sweden to number 16 after 13 weeks in top 10 , down to 16 in Belgium and also peaking 29# in Denmark.

Ella Elle L'a Bigger than Désenchanteé?

It's a fact that everyone remembers that Desenchanteé was the biggest summer hit in 2002/ 2003. Kate Ryan's new song is now a massive hit and it is said that the song is also going to hit the big market countries. Is is said that France will see a re-release of Voyage Voyage and then Ella Elle L'a , the 1st song with no promotion peaked 20 in the french I tunes. Perhaps the UK and the United States, Canada and Australia will get a release soon.
Yesterday the song peaked number 1 in Spain and went gold , it is also the most downloaded digitally and in ringtones. It has also peaked 24# on the Euro 200 chart and also entered the Danish charts at no. 29.

Apresentação do novo album "Free"

Pois mais contentes com o novo album os fãs não poderiam estar , falei com amigos de vários países e adoram-no ! Aqui ficam aqui mais algumas noticias , a Kate esteve no dia 30 na localidade de Bremen na Alemanha , no espetaculo chamado The Dome, onde apresentou numa Belissima performance o novo single "Ella Elle L'a" com uma bela ambiência do videoclipe.
No dia 2 de Junho também será apresentado um espetaculo na Bélgica cheio de efeitos especiais a nivel de agua e no ar , pelo menos foi o que a diva revelou.

Menos de 24 horas para o Lançamento do Album "Free"

Pois é, no passado dia 26 o album "Free" foi lançado na vizinha Espanha e Suécia apresentando uma nova tracklist com faixas em Inglês. http://www.valemusic.es , http://www.fnac.es, fizeram uma extensiva promoção ao album, sendo este o que marca o regresso de Kate às terras de Espanha.

Ella Elle L'a & Alive

Kate Ryan entrou para o top de singles da Suécia esta semana com Ella Elle L'a. Enquanto a musica é lançada em toda a Europa, L.I.L.Y. abandona o ultratop 50 da Bélgica , ao fim de 12 semanas e fica pela 26ª posição no top polaco.
Entretanto o abum "Alive" é lançado nos EUA 3 anos depois de Stronger.
